Read on for gift wrapping tips and tricks to transform your presents into festive masterpieces that delight all ages!

A festive tabletop showcases a wrapped gift, Santa's hand, candles, scissors, a decorative sprig, a wooden ruler, a toy train crafted from recycled materials like elephant dung paper, and twinkling holiday lights.

Many parents choose to wrap their children’s presents using our gift wraps as they are so different to the usual high-street options available. We’re proud to be ‘supplying Santa’ and his elves with our sustainable, reusable gift wrap sheets that have been hand made by artisans in Nepal. Each sheet is made using Lokta, a shrub that grows in the foothills of the Himalaya, and naturally dyed creating unique, acid-free paper.

What makes our gift wraps different?

  • Not mass produced – made by hand.
  • Luxuriously thick and gorgeous texture.
  • Fully recyclable and reusable.
  • Vibrant naturally dyed colours and patterns.
  • Tree-free paper – eco-friendly.

We can see why Santa and our customers approve!

How to recreate elf wrapping at home

  1. Purchase our Lokta gift wrap sheets. Full range can be found here.
  2. Consider how you’re going to wrap your present. Are you using tape or trying to stick to just using ribbon or jute to secure your folds? We recommend staying away from plastic tape as this cannot be recycled. Washi tape is a great alternative and sticks well to our sheets.
  3. Optional: Purchase our gift wrap pack to make it extra special.

A purple gift wrapped with yellow stars is displayed on a gray fabric background, accompanied by twine, a round wooden ornament made from elephant dung, and three blank brown gift tags.

You can choose to add a sustainable gift wrap pack to your order. Our pack includes a personalised wooden name tag (approx. 7 cm), 2m of jute string and three kraft card paper tags.

Our Gift Wrap Packs are designed to make your gift wrapping experience easier and eco-friendly.

4. To make each one personal, have a think about which toppers to use for each person. We have collated some ideas:

A gift wrapped in star-patterned paper with a dried orange slice and twine, featuring a brown tag labeled "mum" with a heart, adds rustic charm to an eco-friendly touch, much like the thoughtful process behind elephant dung paper.
A wrapped gift with blue paper decorated with gold hearts, a brown tag labeled "Zoe" with a heart, and a red and yellow decorative pinwheel attached. It sits on an exotic cloth surface made from elephant dung fibers.
Three wrapped gifts with labels are arranged on a colorful, patterned cloth. The gifts are decorated with twine, a dried citrus slice, a red paper rosette, leaves, and an eco-friendly touch using elephant dung paper.
