Our antique white leaf design mango wood bowls are made entirely by hand using traditional skills handed down from one generation to the next. Mango trees have an incredibly long life, but eventually stop bearing fruit and are replaced by younger trees. As India produces, by far, the most mangos in the world, this results in a huge industry using one of the most sustainable woods known to man.
Due to the handmade nature of these products each one is unique, but loveliness comes as standard.

This product has been made by Noah’s Ark, a fantastic member of both the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO) and Fair Trade Forum India.
With their mission to commit themselves and the producer groups they work with to Fair Trade principles, their goal is to change the lives of grassroots artisans. The organisation works with around 49 talented producer groups, representing approximately 500 artisans collectively working towards the eradication of poverty.
Their focus on education and capacity building enables the people they support to become more aware of fair working conditions and the environment, in order to promote the value, cultural heritage and beauty of their handmade products.
