These fabulous leather cases are handmade from genuine buffalo leather by skilled artisans in India. Using real leather means that you may find creases, small marks or blemishes on the case and some small differences in colour from the case shown, this is the natural character of leather and we really like the unique quality it gives to each item. Don't worry, we wouldn't send you a case that we wouldn't love to own ourselves.
There may be a slight smell when you receive the case, this is totally normal for this type of leather and will go with time.
The leather is protected with natural oils to give it a lovely rich finish and make it hard-wearing. Our leather cases are intended to get even better with age; the leather will soften and the bumps and knocks they will get will mean more character - we love it that they can tell the story of their travels!
All of our buffalo leather products are ethically made by the incredibly talented artisans at Handicraft Villa in India.
They conform to Fair Trade principles and are members of Sedex, one of the world’s leading ethical trade service providers, working to improve working conditions in global supply chains.
They are currently working towards being a member of the Fair Trade Forum India.
We visit and audit our producers twice a year to make sure they are following Fair Trade practices.
Each item is handmade and by purchasing one of our products you are helping continue the fantastic work of our producers.
