INDRA A4 EMBOSSED STONED LEATHER JOURNAL

Size: 205 x 300 mm (A4)

Our glorious Fair Trade embossed and stoned leather journals are truly items of desire and make for a great diary, travel journal, inspiration book or notebook.

Each journal is handmade and contains 125 pages of unlined khadda paper. Khadda paper is made from recycled cotton, is acid-free and is a beautiful paper to write or draw on.

The embossing on the covers has been done with small individual handmade tools making each album unique. The embossed pattern might not be the same as on the image but will be just as lovely and carefully made.

The semi precious stones stitched onto these albums have been handpicked by us and may differ from the image shown as we use a mixture of tiger’s eye, lapis, Labourite and black onyx.  Please let us know if you would like a particular stone.

Due to the handmade nature of these products colour and designs may slightly vary but loveliness comes as standard.

Product Description

Details

All of our leather journals are handmade by a small family business in Rajasthan, India. They have been expertly crafted using a mixture of contemporary and traditional methods and the pages have been bound by hand so they are strong and perfect for traveling.

The paper used in these journals is handmade using recycled cotton (also known as khadda, kaddi or khaddi) leftover from the massive garment industry in India. It is acid-free because we only use unbleached cotton and it produces a beautiful paper, easy to write, draw or paint on. We don't recommend using fountain pen with this type of handmade paper.

The leather used is a by-product of the meat industry in India and is tanned using only natural dyes.

Wow, ordered mid afternoon arrived next day, what can I say. The journal is fabulous, amazing feel, so tactile I can't leave it alone, has an almost magical feel. Pages are great, so different to normal paper. I've never kept a journal before so wanted something special to keep me interested, this is spot on. Did try a fountain pen but the paper really soaks it up better with a gel pen or good biro, or just use one side. My dad past away a few weeks ago suddenly so I'm definitely going to buy one of the photo albums, many thanks (Posted on 01/01/2014)
